It’s been years since I’ve had warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast, so I was thrilled when I saw rumors going around in Dutch vegan groups and organizations that these little tubes of dough were accidentally vegan. (Martine over at the amazing blog Gewoon Vegan has had confirmation from Albert Heijn that all the e-numbers and aromas in these are vegan!)
These bake up in about 11 minutes to little golden swirls of doughy, cinnamony goodness. They’re smaller and less sweet than the ones I grew up with in the US, but they are satisfying, and make your kitchen smell fantastic. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning with a hot cup of something.
