I love pizza. I mean, I really love pizza. Thing is, I’m too shy to ask for regular pizza places to make me a pizza without cheese (plus I’m never sure their crust is vegan) and I’m often too lazy to make my own dough.
So imagine my delight when I discovered this totally vegan, ready-made pizza crust in the refrigerated section of the Colruyt! All you have to do is roll it out, top with your favorite toppings (I used tomato paste, chopped garlic and shallot, spinach, Tofurky pepperoni, and Wilmersburger pizza shreds), and pop it in the oven for 12-15 minutes. I like my crust a little doughy rather than too crispy so I kept to the shorter end of the recommended time. I found this to be a nice, slightly sweet, chewy base for my pizza. I’ll definitely be getting this again!
As mentioned above, I got this at the Colruyt, but I’ve since seen it at the Delhaize too. Herta is a name brand so should be available at most supermarkets that sell name brand products.
